Major Glen Talbot was the right-hand man of General Thunderbolt Ross and a long-time enemy of the Hulk. Besides making it his life's work to hunt down and capture the Hulk, Talbot was also romantically interested in the love of Bruce Banner's life, Betty Ross.

His most significant blow against the creature is learning from Rick Jones (who mistakenly believed that the Banner was dead at that moment, although he was actually catapulted into the future.) that Banner and the Hulk were one and the same. Talbot subsequently informed his superiors of this and thus when Banner returned to the present time, he was pursued by the US military as a fugitive and thus would never again have the same life as before.

The original comic book continuity has been designated as taking place on Earth-616.

The Incredible Hulk 1966 animated series[]

In the The Incredible Hulk (1966 animated series), which was part of The Marvel Super Heroes series, Major Talbot was voiced by John Vernon. Stories and art in this series were taken directly from the Marvel comic books. Despite of the similarities between the comic and the cartoon, this reality has been designated as Earth-600026.

The Incredible Hulk 1982 animated series[]

In The Incredible Hulk (1982 animated series) (designated as taking place on Earth-8107), Major Talbot's first name is Ned instead of Glenn and he has the unflattering nickname 'Noodlehead Ned'. He was voiced by Pat Fraley. This version was often used as comic relief and had a bumbling personality. Like his comic book counterpart, he had strong feelings for the Earth-8107 version of Betty Ross. In this series Bruce Banner's identity as the Hulk is unknown to Major Talbot.

The Incredible Hulk 1996 animated series[]

In The Incredible Hulk (1996 animated series) (designated as taking place on Earth-534834), Major Talbot was voiced by Kevin Schon. His love for Betty Ross was less pronounced in this reality. In this version, Bruce Banner's identity as the Hulk was public knowledge before the start of the series.

Hulk (film)[]

In Hulk (designated as taking place on Earth-400083) Major Glenn Talbot is the secondary antagonist of the 2003 film. He is Bruce's personal bully and takes orders from General Thunderbolt Ross. He is a ruthless former soldier who offers Banner and Betty Ross an opportunity to work for him in an attempt to start an experiment on self-healing soldiers. Talbot was played by Josh Lucas in the feature film.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.[]

Although Talbot did not appear in The Incredible Hulk (2008 film), he has a recurring role on the TV series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which takes place in the same reality as the 2008 film and The Avengers (2012 Film) (Earth-199999). This version is more concerned with hunting down Phil Coulson and his Shield agents than the Hulk. Talbot is played by Adrian Pasder in the series.
